Als ik een meter en enkele tientalen jaren kleiner was geweest, was ik waarschijnlijk overweldigd geweest door dit boek - ik was er nu al meteen weg van! De reuzegrote bladzijden, minutieus volgetekend met beesten in alle kleuren en maten en in die heerlijke eenvoudige tekenstijl ... dit is een genot voor elke dierenliefhebber vanaf 0 jaar en een buitenmaats hebbeding dat niet mag ontbreken in de boekenkast van elke boekenliefhebber.
I'm a fan of Jolivet's work, and this book can capture us for many minutes - in the life of a two year old, that's hours.
An odd but enjoyable extremely oversized book with pictures of stuff. A 2-page spread of fruit and vegetables, one of animals, one of historical costume, one of tools, one of human anatomy, one of construction machines... there's something here for almost any child's interests, with a name on the page and extra information in the back. The human anatomy bares all, with naked people and diagrams of human reproductive anatomy, which I think is a big plus. My daughter has strong favorites; the fruit is best, then the animals, after that aircraft, and so on, with the tools running dead last right now.… (més)
