This is a quirky fun children’s chapter book and at 28 pages it is a good length for early or reluctant readers. Recommended for ages 3 -8 years.

Mr Griffs is kind-hearted, a little grumpy and a lot of fun. A 60 something retiree he likes nothing better than to relax in his garden listening to his radio and occasionally stir up his neighbour, Steve Moran. Steve is an over-stressed busy body and is always spying on Mr Griffs to see what he is up to.

I love the cover which shows a picture of Mr Griffs chasing a bush turkey. He looks and acts a lot like my husband. When I read this to my granddaughter we changed the name to Grandpa which she thought was very funny.
Definitely a read again and again in this house and we are looking forward to seeing what Mr Griffs gets up to next.
