I borrowed this Kindle book through a lend matching site and boy am I glad I did that rather than follow my impulse and just buy it. Instead of the estimated 62 pages it probably could have easily been about 20 pages.

For one, the author repeatedly drills in you that sitting at a computer for work is harmful. Well, of course it is and someone who would buy a book by this title knows first hand how awful it is. I don't need to be told over, and over and over yet again. Secondly, the author uses nearly full paragraphs as headings, then repeats the headings, then starts the section with a rehash of the headings without the question marks. So everything is being told in triplicate. Repetition can be key for assimilating information, but generally one wants it to be presented at least slightly differently each time for maximal understanding and retention. Thirdly, there are many points in the book that make it obvious that the author is not a native English speaker and should have but this book through a more vigorous editing phase before publication.

I also found the couple of stretches described that did not have supporting photos to be unintelligible. Those with photos I could figure out, but mostly because of the photos and because I was already familiar with all 17 stretches. Not a new one in the bunch. It would have been nice if the model in the photos was actually wearing clothing one would see in an office rather than athletic wear. Most of those poses I cannot actually do in my office as I do not have a door or any privacy.

If you are completely unaware of stretches for the office place you may pick up a few things, but there are likely higher quality titles from which to choose. If you've done any trolling of the web for such things or have any yoga experience you likely will not learn anything from this ebook.… (més)
