This satire of the "Cat Who" books will not charm fans of the series. It lacks the coziness of the original series, instead filled with promiscuity and vile language. Very little action on the alleged mystery concerning her death ever occurred with the exception of a bit of research into the phrase "lavender ink" which was the included in her last phone call to author James Kafka. I kept thinking they'd eventually get around to the mystery element, but about 65% of the way into the book (which is short--only 4 sections in audio format), I got so fed up with the sex and filthy language, I just abandoned it. Koko and YumYum would have done a far superior job resolving Braun's death. I wish I'd read the reviews here at LibraryThing before downloading it because I thought the title sounded cute when I stumbled across it on Overdrive. Not recommended.… (més)
