Blast off for adventure with young adult authors Jesssica Brody (Unchanged), Claudia Gray ( A Thousand Pieces of You), Jessica Khoury ( Kalahari), Melissa Landers ( Invaded), and Debra Driza ( MILA 2.0: Renegade). Unchanged completes the thrilling SF trilogy started in Jessica’s Unremembered; fans are encouraged to check out the ebook short, “Unleashed,” as wel, for more insights into the mysterious Diotech Compound. Bestseller Claudia’s A Thousand Pieces of You is blurbed as “Orphan Black meets Cloud Atlas in the first book of this epic dimension–bending trilogy about a girl who must chase her father’s killer through multiple dimensions.” The Corpus Files that Jessica began with Origin in the depths of the Amazon rainforest and continued with Vitro in the South Pacific islands now takes readers to the wilds of Botswana with Kalahari. Linda’s review of Melissa’s Alienated reads, “Appealing to science fiction and YA readers, a plot with a forbidden love theme involving intergalactic exchange students allows Landers to discuss important issues such as teen romance, peer pressure, trust and acceptance of those a little bit different from ourselves.” The story continues in Invaded. The 2015 version of San Diego author Debra will captain the ride!

Tempe | Teen Event | Girls Gone Sci-Fi Tour | 5 Teen Authors, 1 Night! 7PM MONDAY, MARCH 16 "Girls Gone Sci-Fi" Tour: Jessica Brody, Claudia Gray, Jessica Khoury, Melissa Landers, and Suzanne Young LOCATION: TEMPE Five authors visit as part of "Girls Gone Sci-fi," celebrating female writers who promote character-driven and emotional speculative science fiction that teens (and adults) love. Jessica Brody visits with the third book in her Unremembered trilogy, Unchanged. As more secrets are revealed, more enemies are uncovered, and the reality of a Diotech-controlled world grows closer every day, Sera will have to choose where her true loyalties lie. But it's a choice that may cost her everything she's ever loved. Claudia Gray, the New York Times bestselling author of the Evernight series, visits with the third and final book in her bestselling Spellcaster series, Sorceress. To save the lives of countless people in Captive's Sound, Nadia swore herself to the One Beneath—to black magic. Her plan, and the town's only hope, is for Nadia to learn enough sorcery to strike back against the forces of evil. But now that she's separated from her friends, her family, and her Steadfast, Mateo, Nadia is more vulnerable than ever to the growing darkness. Jessica Khoury (author of Vitro and Origin) celebrates the release of her survival-thriller Kalahari. When an educational safari goes wrong, five teens find themselves stranded in the Kalahari Desert without a guide. It's up to Sarah, the daughter of zoologists, to keep them alive and lead them to safety, calling on survival know-how from years of growing up in remote and exotic locales. Battling dehydration, starvation and the pangs of first love, she does her best to hold it together, even as their circumstances grow increasingly desperate. Melissa Landers (who writes adult romance under the name Macy Beckett) visits with Invaded, the sequel to her alien-contact novel Alienated. Cara always knew life on planet L'eihr would be an adjustment. With Aelyx, her L'eihr boyfriend, back on Earth, working to mend the broken alliance between their two planets, she is left to fend for herself, surrounded by hostile alien clones. And with L'eihr leaders balking at granting even basic freedoms, she begins to wonder if she can ever be happy on this planet, even with Aelyx with her. Suzanne Young presents The Treatment, the sequel to The Program. Working with rebels to bring down The Program, a suicide prevention treatment in which painful memories are erased, Sloane and James consider taking The Treatment to unlock their memories.
