Zach is a part of a family that all have a magic ability. He is the only one who has not “come into” his powers yet. He is homeschooled. This all changes when he still has not come into his powers. His parents decide to send him to the public middle school. On his first day he somehow ends up in the snack machine! A boy named Aaron becomes his best friend. Zach is having an awesome time at school and then he discovers a pair of mysterious snapbacks that just might be the magical element he has been looking for. If he can keep Tricia, the resident bully, out of his business he might have a chance at discovering his inner magic. He also meets Rachel who is the cutest girl in the whole school. Written by a professional magician, this is the first book in a new series that follows the adventures of Zach King. This story is full of humour and crazy exploits but also includes real life issues such as bullying, friendship and attraction to the opposite sex. Colourful full page illustrations and occasional comic book sequences further enhance the story and there is also an app that turns the illustrations into 3D animated mini movies.
