Marcus and Darcy were both type A personalities. He was so used to being in control in business and family matters, she was so used to taking care of herself and the people she cared about. I am new to Caro LaFever. I received a copy of Mistress by Blackmail in exchange for an honest review. As a couple they were volatile and passionate. That combination made this story what it was. If they ever took the time to stop fighting each other, it would give them the chance to see that they agreed on what was most important but were to pigheaded to admit it. I enjoyed reading and finding a new author.

A Perfect Wife has the formula of many other stories that I come across regularly. Bitter man full of determination. Desperate woman with no where to turn. At first that turned me off, but you know what? Ms. LaFever made it work for her. She turned an overly done storyline into one that simmered with tension and an underlying tenderness that I found appealing. This author is one I am keeping an eye on. She took a story of anger and heartbreak and made it into a truly superb work of art. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.… (més)
