Startling primary account of the mendacity of the late John Paul II and Rome in their dealings with Archbishop Lefebvre. While the Archbishop was trying to stay true to Catholic Tradition he was being misled and deceived at every level in Rome.
This book is a collection of documents that were exchanged between Rome and Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. You can see how for the Archbishop tried in good faith to maintain good relations with Rome.
We can see from the documents that Rome was trying to offer almost anything to get the Archbishop into the Concilior Church. But even with that in mind you can see how they used deceit and delaying tactics to try and undermined the good work of the Archbishop. It is truly eye opening.
These same documents also show how Archbishop Lefebvre was staying true to the Tradition and Teachings of The Church. We should follow his example and pray for modern Rome, infested with Modernism, to become once more Catholic Rome and to recover its 2,000 year-old tradition.
