The 77 tips in the ebook were pretty much common sense, but it was still useful to review them. It was difficult to read this book, though, because English was clearly not the writer's first (or second, or third) language. The phrasing was often ponderous and awkward. For example, "While it is not mandatory that you need to have a team when you are having an Etsy shop, but it is mostly advised to have so." Or, "When you have an Etsy store, you have every reason to be happy for. So, make it a point to be proud of your store and do not be shy of promoting the same. You need to explore the different details regarding how you can promote your firm." If you can get past the horrible translation and complete absence of editing, the tips might give you something to think about. But there are other and better ebooks to read on this subject, so I'd skip this one.… (més)

How to Crochet: A Beginners Guide to Learning to Crochet Today (The Ultimate Crocheting Book to Unlock Your Inner Artistic Talent) by Victoria Lane
Starts with a table of contents where many subjects are covered.
Some photos, but some are hard to see. Explampes and instructions on what you will need to get started.
basic stitches are very small photos/diagrams, like section on advanced stitches.
tips about hooks and yarn are included. Also give you ideas of what to avoid being a beginner.
Instructions for easy items to make are included with small color photos.
Be nice if items started at the top of a new page-they are mixed up some starting at the middle of the previous page.
Notice there is no gauge or size when making these. So a baby blanket could be less than 20" across-quite small..
Termination is discussed and how to read a pattern.
I've seen better books...

Reading about the history of soap making, I learned that soap making can be traced back to Babylonia and Ancient Egypt, for treatment of skin conditions, and cleaning of medical sup pies, textiles, dishes and cooking utensils. Allepo soap from Syria had no fragrances, Castile soap from Spain used the abundantly available olive oil. The first popular liquid soap was palmolive, using both palm oil and olive oil.

The book is instructive in giving you a look at organic and natural ingredients, the process of making your own liquid soap, and it offers a few recipes so you can begin making your own. You would be using the hot process to make liquid soap, s opposed to the cold process which is used to make bar soap. The author gives you tips on using lye (a chemical base in soap) in a safe manner, and for picking the best ingredients, such as Jojoba oil, Shea butter, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and others.

The book concludes with detailed liquid soap recipes. My favorite one was Super Super Easy Scented Liquid Hand Soap with flavored extracts.

Five stars.
