These days, Robert has given up his crayons for oil paint while Lisa prefers watercolor. Both artists work from reference as well as their imagination. Lisa’s mom is a talented seamstress and makes most of the costumes that end up in the pages and on the covers of the books they illustrate. P Is for Princess: A Royal alphabet, is the first book they co-illustrated as a team and The Town that Fooled the British is their first project as author and illustrator. “We feel lucky to be in a business that lets us fool around with paint and be creative – and the best thing is, we get to do it together.” Rob and Lisa's newest collaboration is The Town that Fooled the British.
