This is a good fact filled book about life and food with an Italian family, day by day over eight days. Featuring a recipe for each day which gives the book a structure conducive to reading over consecutive days / evenings.
This is not a guide book but having said that it would be good reading for anyone preparing for an exchange visit or a stay with an Italian family in small town Italy.
Having spent such a week with a family that I knew well from my Grandmother in Scotland, I was surprised just how differently they lived when back at the home town of La Spezia where 80 year old Nona and the 50 some year old son in law's intricate power play formed the backbone of a highly structured life.
All in all this is a well written and interesting book with a well formatted kindle version.… (més)
