This little is a very practical look at various coaching methods that can be applied to the new generation of young workers entering into the workforce. I liked that the authors paint a broad picture of the generational traits followed by advantages, disadvantages and solutions; I very much enjoyed the different perspectives of managers, leaders, Gen Ys, great ideas and duds - this gave a very well-rounded perspective of each issue.
I liked less the very repetitive structure (although that makes it a good reference tool; it's very easy to consult), the simplified approach which, to my mind, didn't add much to the text and some of the more basic suggestions (do workplaces still even have paper memos?).
It's a concrete approach which doesn't break barriers but does demystify some of the more obvious, sometimes bizarre, sometimes creative, Gen Y behaviours.… (més)
