Pros:
Provides insight into the deployment and use of tactical aircraft by the Soviet military. Briefly describes the changes in tactics after the first few months of the war. The coverage of the repair units and quality issues with the P-39 were also welcome. If you have a interest in the Soviet tactical use of the P-39, there is enough here for you.
Cons:

I consider this book a great companion volume to Red Phoenix Rising:The Soviet Air Force in World War II by Von Hardesty.… (més)
