Publishers Lunch

This Buzz Books sampler is a very large selection of sneak peeks of the upcoming releases and it's a great bunch of books to read some of and add to your reading list. After reading this, I found myself adding quite a few books to my list and requesting a few. This is a very thorough and good choice to help plan what books to read and find out about new books and authors. As with, Buzz Books Great Reads Fall/Winter 2022, it's obvious from a simple scan of the book covers that minority inclusion was of ultimate importance with this collection. Stories from various backgrounds are great, but not when so disproportionate to the overall population. If we assume that intelligence and storytelling are equal across different populations, which we should, the books included should be more equally represented.

On a completely different note and topic, I didn't see anything here I was interested in. I'll admit that Romance isn't on the top of my "wanna read" list, but I usually find a few. Of nine I looked at here, only one prodded me to probe further, and ultimately I passed as it is the second in a series.

Note that this is a much smaller edition than the Great Reads Fall/Winter, with only 15 titles included.
