Emmanuel Macron

Emmanuel Macron was born in Amiens, France. He studied philosophy at the Université Paris Nanterre and completed a master's degree in public affairs at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po"), then graduated from the École nationale d'administration (ENA) in 2004. He worked as an Inspector of Finances in the Inspectorate General of Finances (IGF), then became an investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque.
In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Secretary-General by French President François Hollande, and then was named Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs in 2014. He founded a new political party called En Marche! in 2016, and became the youngest President in the history of France at his election in May 2017. His book Révolution, part autobiography and part political program, was published in 2016.
