The Data Game: Controversies in Social Science… de Mark H. Maier
A well-written introductory book on social statistics. In eleven chapters the author discusses a variety of statistical measures, indicates uncertainties and explains why the measures can be open to different interpretations. The book seems to be intended mostly for students and new researchers. I would have preferred a bit more detail, but this book served well as an overview of statistical controversies and a lesson in statistical literacy.
