Charlie McCoy

McCoy was a session musician in Nashville for 60 plus years working with almost every well known entertainer both country and pop who entertained during those years. He eventually worked in European countries with special emphasis on Denmark.and even had a following in Japan.

He led several Nashville bands and spent over twenty years as a musician and including leading the Million-Dollar Band on the TV show Hee Haw. He ends his autobiography with a brief criticism of modern recorded music especially the overproduction methods used in recording modern country music and his view that hip hop music is not really music.

An easy read that gives the some personal background on many of the important performers from American popular music in the 1960' to the 2000's.… (més)
