NCLA Review - Max McLean is a professional reader and dramatic presenter of Scripture on stage and radio. You may be familiar with his narration of The Listener’s Bible, his Listen to the Bible radio program, and his readings of Mark’s Gospel, Genesis, and The Screwtape Letters recorded on DVD. McLean observes that during worship, reading of Scripture is not engaging when read by untrained, ungifted readers. Passionate reading of Scripture during worship prepares the congregation to engage with the message of the sermon. For this reason, he paired up with Rev.
