Where There's Smoke... (Burnin' for You, #2) de Jamie Lynn Miller
Evan and Lucas are back in this sequel to Burnin' For You. Five months have passed and both men are happily looking for their own apartment. Lucas is due to take his final examd to become a paramedic when he is called out to a fire in an apartment house. Lucas saved a young man's life and finds both his and Evan's lives on the line when the young man starts stalking Lucas. A good read and a well put together sequel. If you enjoyed Burnin' For You, this book won't let you down.
This is such an amazing book!
You probably should read the first two books in this series, given that they would undoubtedly add to your enjoyment of this one, in what concerns to background story of the characters, but it’s not strictly necessary to read them to understand what’s going on in the book.
And my, there surely is a lot going on in there! The story will grip you from your lapels, claiming for your attention from the very beginning, and won’t let you go. Thrilling, suspenseful and action packed, the plot is simply great.
Add to this mix the fact that both, Shawn and Connor, are great characters, you get a fantastic book. Their relationship is so heart-warming and realistically depicted, without glossing over problems; and the way they both work to make their life together work is simply amazing. This is, IMHO, a reading you shouldn’t let pass.… (més)

Now this is how you write a fucking M/M romance firefighter book!! Love isn't far behind as they deal with career changes and the death of a former lover and just enough angst to bring them together with an even stronger bond. M/M romance perfection! Add in the best of the best in firefighter action and, woo boy, we got a winner! These cute boys see TONS of action and both get hurt a BUNCH of times and end up in the hospital quite a lot. We've got bedside confessionals, nail-biting waiting room moments, angry "I thought I was gonna lose you!" shower sex, etc. etc. Just a whole heap of fabulous hurt/comfort angst for these boys. They are really put through the wringer for our enjoyment. And did I mention the stalker yet? Or the last minute confession of child abuse? Well, there is that too. Plus a few more surprises.
So, obviously, suspend disbelief and enjoy this pretty far-fetched tale about these gorgeous firefighters and their extraordinary lives. It makes for the best kind of reading and I couldn't get enough. Highly, highly recommended.… (més)
