This book is about a young girl with a disability who pretty much takes in a view of the world on an outing with her parents. While on her outing she sees many individuals who are different but unique in their own ways. One of the really cool things about this book in particular is that it has the full alphabet in ASL on one page and the numbers 1-5 in braille on another page. I would recommend this book to first-third or fourth grade students. This age group would be the best fit because of the content of the book and the importance of inclusivity.… (més)

This book is about a little girl named april. She is getting ready to go visit her grandma for a whole week. Her mother takes her to run errand to get ready for her trip. While running errands emma realizes people are different something she has not realized before. She notices a woman who is deaf and who is using her hand to talk, a woman who reads her book with her finger to help her keep track of where she is in the book. She learns that people do different jobs for a living. She also realizes how much people are alike.
