Katharine Louise Mosse OBE (born 20 October 1961) is an English novelist, non-fiction and short story writer and broadcaster. She is best known for her 2005 novel Labyrinth, which has been translated into more than 37 languages.

Mosse was born in Chichester, and raised in Fishbourne, West Sussex, the eldest of three sisters born to a solicitor. Their aunt was involved in the campaign for the ordination of women and her grandfather was a vicar. She was educated at Chichester High School For Girls and New College, Oxford and graduated in 1984 with a BA (Hons) in English. After leaving university, she spent seven years working in publishing in London for Hodder & Stoughton, then Century, and finally as an editorial director at Hutchinson, part of the Random House Group. She was a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Women in Publishing.

She left publishing in 1992, for a writing career beginning with the non-fiction, Becoming a Mother.

I felt there were a few plot holes with dealing with the demon and the main character not actually being the Debussy she was looking for, but overall I really enjoyed it and it was a really fast-paced read for such a large book.

(2005)Didn't finish this 262 pages of 512. Couldn't get into this although story was interesting, too many characters and soap opera aspects. Alice of 21st century archeologist connects with Alais of 13th century and their common search for the Grail in the form of three ancient books.

Despite being an avid reader I gave up on this book countless times. So much so that it took me two years to finally finish it. I will say this, it was the most simultaneously scary and boring thing I have ever read. I didn't know I could be bored out of my mind while also afraid and now thanks to this book I do. That is the only thing I got from reading it, thank god its over. don't bother reading it, I only finished out of stubbornness.
