Even sixty years on, this book isn't particularly interesting. Covering the 1951/52 West Indies tour of Australia, Moyes goes into great detail covering even matches against sides like "Queensland Country" and the Prime Minister's XI.

While the enthusiasm Moyes puts into reporting the cricket deserves praise, it is unfortunate that this series appeared to be so one-sided, with the West Indies easily beaten in the Test series and struggling against some of the state sides. Moyes provides full scorecards and tour averages, helped along by a former owner of my copy of "With the West Indies ...", who quite helpfully added some extra statsitics for me to ponder over.

Rather predictably, Sir Donald Bradman provides the Foreward.

Moyes writes biographies on the 100 best cricketers the world had seen by 1950. Obviously a little dated by now and Moyes is not afraid to unfurl the purple prose when praising a player (Len Hutton is compared to the Roman Gods, to pick just one example). Still, an interesting read, well worth it if you happen to find in a secondhand book store as I did.
