The Library will host a group discussion of The Autoimmune Epidemic. One Book, One Truman is a program designed to bring our college together in the reading of a single book. This year's selection is The Autoimmune Epidemic: Bodies Gone Haywire in a World Out of Balance by Donna Jackson Nakazawa. It examines the growing problem of autoimmune disease and the role that environmental toxins play in causing it. Dr. Frederick Miller of the National Institutes of Health has called the book "an insightful exploration of one of the greatest medical mysteries of our time." You can participate in One Book, One Truman by reading The Autoimmune Epidemic and attending one of the associated events. (bookjones)
