I've spent the last few years reading a number of books by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins and coming from that background there's not a whole lot new science brought to the table in Undeniable, outside of a nugget here or there. What Nye does provide here is his own lovable brand of enthusiasm, humor, and a background as a science educator that was so compelling in his show Bill Nye: The Science Guy. Bill touches often on his own debate with creationist whacko Ken Ham and spends some time refuting creationism, but even more time laying out some easily understood arguments for evolution. From there he moves into what our understanding of evolution and biology adds to current social debates around GMO's, stem cells, etc. and finishes with an inspired and inspiring few chapters about the search for life, its origins and the future of our species and its place in the universe. Bill is undoubtedly a hero of mine and I've been so happy to see his reemergence into our culture and our country's scientific and political dialogue.… (més)

Ok, I get it, you had a debate with Ken Ham. The repetition got pretty annoying.

There were also a large amount cringe-y gendered jokes that rubbed me the wrong way.

The GMO and singularity positions were a bit unexpected.

Other than that the content was good, and the delivery was enjoyable and made me a bit nostalgic for the old show.

The first time I tried listening to this, I was really put off. I felt it was smug and kind of stupid. I tried again, got through the Hamm-debate chapter, and then the book really started to pick up and get kind of interesting. The audiobook is read by Bill Nye himself; he can not do any sort of regional or national accent and he should not have tried.
