Biografia breu: Ronan was born in Dublin in 1974. He studied Law in University College Dublin and went on to become a solicitor specialising in the area of criminal law. He now lives in a village in Co. Kildare.

At university, Ronan's creative side was demonstrated through his membership of the Drama Society. He wrote and directed a number of student plays to high acclaim. He went on to complete a Masters Degree in Modern Drama Studies.

While still practising law, Ronan is working on his second novel.

Confessions of a Fallen Angel de Ronan O'Brien

Following a near-death experience as a child the narrator finds himself seeing visions of the deaths of people close to him, deaths he can't do anything about. Set in a fictional suburb of Dublin this is a story about his life and his quest to do the right thing always. The end was a shocker but works.

Interesting and there are moments of pure humour that shine out (the sequence in the library is wonderful) there are places where it seems a little forced. Still a good read, he's an author I'll keep an eye out for.… (més)

Confessions of a Fallen Angel de Ronan O'Brien

Written with that delicate and melancholy sense of inevitability which is unique to modern Irish literary novelists, this is a metaphysical examination of the phenomenon of foresight.

After a near-death experience as a child, the narrator is cursed with the ability to ‘see’ the deaths of those he loves the most, yet is unable to prevent them.

Exquisitely observed and imbued with a sad sense of magic, Confessions of a Fallen Angel is a fey, dreamy tale of the Celtic twilight, tragic, haunting and beautiful. This lyrical story is highly recommended as a grand book and a lovely read.… (més)
