This book helps Christians understand the heart of Christ in the midst of all the suffering and failures of life. Drawing from Puritan theologians, Ortlund examines the topic from a Reformed doctrinal viewpoint. While the book is devotional in nature, the author's writing style is suited more towards Christians with a solid theological grounding.
