I love this book.

I haven't really done much sewing before. At least not since I left school many, many years ago. Occasionally I would hem up a pair of trousers, or patch a pair of jeans but that was about it.

Three years ago I retired because of ill health. Earlier this year I decided I needed to find some creative ways to spend my time and I decided to take up "crafts' as an absolute beginner. This was one of the first books I purchased and was pleased to find that it was suitable for beginners but also would be enjoyable for more experienced sewers. I have so far made the first six of the 18 felties, and though my finished results aren't quite as good as those shown in the photos in the book I am happy with what I have made, and I plan to make the rest.
After I have made all 18 I plan to try and create some of my own feltie designs, as well as do the felties from Zombie Felties.… (més)

I read a book called "Felties" written by Nelly Pailloux. From my point of view, "Felties" is a very good and unique craft book that teaches you how to make eighteen cute and quirky characters like a mummy cat or little red riding wolf using felt. Once I made one of the characters, I wanted to make them all. The characters in this book are also fairly easy to make and are good for beginner sewers.

Usually, I would never read craft book because I'm not interested in crafting, but the reason why I wanted to read this book is simple. The cover caught my attention! The characters on the cover were really cute so I wanted to see what other things are inside book. Therefore, I borrowed this book from the library and read it.

From this book, I learned how to sew different stitches that I didn't know before like the backstitch. "Felties" also offers diagrams when teaching you how to sew a certain stitch so the steps are easy to follow.

In conclusion, I would reccommend this book to anyone who likes cute things and sewing because this is exactly what the book contains!… (més)
