Women's Board of the Ravinia Festival, Highland Park, Illinois. Cultural Arts Festival of music, dance, and theater began in 1904 for a twelve to fourteen week season. Proceeds from cook book sale support the Young Artists Institute of Ravinia Festival. Recipes chosen from nearly 2000 submissions and "twice tested" however contributors are collectively listed rather than with their submitted recipes . Specific comments such as "This unusual pre-Civil War recipe is divinely rich" for Southern Pecan Torte are rare. Unfortunately, there are no photos from Rivinia, the town, or the Festival.… (més)
