Time and again, I've stated that I enjoy reading about strong characters. Amy Patt gives readers just that in "The Bartlett Journals: Book 1 The Prima Ballerina". Kiki Thompsen is strong and fierce. She's not just good at what she does, she's great as a principal dance. So what's wrong with Kiki? Plenty. Readers are guided through Kiki's transition, as she meets with her counselor Emma Bartlett. Kiki learns about herself and is able to confront past issue - hurt, forgiveness, etc... She is even able to love another, after she is able to truly love herself.

Amy Patt has literally conducted a case study around a seemingly perfect personality, and broken through tough outer walls to expose the character's vulnerabilities. Clearly, Amy conducted extensive research to build such a wonderful read.

Amy Patt's "The Bartlett Journals" series is very promising. I look forward to reading more of Amy's work.… (més)
