Based on the popular independent comic book series by the Pini's. If you liked that world, this was a fun game, using Choasium's Basic Role Playing system, tweaked for various Wolfrider (and other elven) powers.

An early attempt at a generic system and a somewhat poor one at that.

Magic World is interesting but limited, Future*World is derivative, and Superworld is underdeveloped. There were/are better options for the various genres elsewhere — some even from Chaosium themselves.

Could have also used another editorial pass-through to catch some fairly easily spotted errors. Historical curiosity, but the lack of any supporting products meant that there's not enough to do much with.

Regardless of that RuneQuest remains a favorite of mine and I have given this book 5 stars for that reason. Compared to newer systems it is a bit cumbersome to play, mostly because it needs a bit of bookkeeping during the game, especially in combat.

The only problem with this particular book is that you really need the Advanced Set in addition to this one to really use the system in any kind of campaign.… (més)
