This is the biography of the extraordinary Afghani-born Rawi who managed to escape war-torn Afghanistan and finally established a new life for herself in Australia.
Rawi eventually founded Mahboba’s Promise, an internationally recognised aid organisation, which provides basics, including food and shelter, but also hope to thousands of women and orphans in her native Afghanistan.
Once I'd started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. A heartbreaking but inspiring read.
