Another murder in Beatty, Mississippi. A young woman who enjoys men has been murdered as she is finishing up her shift at the grocery store. When Loraine Pettybone and her friends return from Savannah, having just caught a murderer, they are anxious to begin another investigation.

This is the second book of a series, the time span between books, according to the dialogue, is 2 weeks, but the author has changed the ages of the characters to 20 years younger. This frustrating fact kept breaking the flow of the story, plus the book could use a good edit.

Now that I mentioned the negatives, I must say I still enjoyed the story line.

Beatrice Sawyer sees her quiet life about to go down the drain if she doesn't step in and solve the mystery herself.

I really enjoyed this story with a different twist to a serial killer. With characters who are different though interesting and yet I connected with them.

The only problem is this edition needs a good edit; word checker misspellings, grammar and character name cohesion. But, I looked past the poor editing and was enable to follow and enjoy the tale to its conclusion.… (més)
