Thanks so much for the review copy. This book made me happy to be an 80’s baby. I really liked it.

This book was well written, but I have to say that I did not enjoy the story. It was a routine love story about an abused woman coming home to find her ex boyfriend a drunken mess. She rehabilitates him and of course they end up together. I found the story a bit predictable - it read like a Hallmark movie. I found myself skimming a lot. It was easy to read and I hope other readers enjoy it.

There wasn't much enemies in this enemies to lovers, so I missed the tension between the main characters. It's usually one of my favorite tropes.

Definitely some funny lines that had me laughing out loud, and some really cheesy ones that had me rolling my eyes. All part of the rom-com experience for sure!

Thank you LibraryThing and 5 Prince Publishing for the ARC.

I received an ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an incredibly cute romance with a lot of great 80s nostalgia. "She hoped they weren't there to see John Mayer." is the best line I've ever read in a book.
