James Rollins (nee James Czajkowski) was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 20, 1961. He received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 1985. After graduation, he started his veterinary practice in Sacramento, California. His first novel, Subterranean, was published mostra'n més in 1999. His other works include the Sigma Force series, the Jake Ransom series, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He also writes the Banned and the Banished series and The Godslayer Chronicles under the name of James Clemens. James Rollins co-authors the new Tucker Wayne series with Grant Blackwood. The first book in the series, The Kill Switch, made the New York Times bestseller list in 2014. James Rollins is a pen name of James Paul Czajkowski (born August 20, 1961 in Chicago, IL, an American veterinarian and writer of action-adventure/thriller, mystery, and techno-thriller novels who gave up his veterinary practice in Sacramento, California to be a full-time author. Rollins' experiences and expertise as an amateur spelunker and a certified scuba diver have provided content for some of his novels, which are often set in underground or underwater locations. Sandstorm de James Rollins
A fun, quick exciting/rollicking read - in the vein of Dan Brown. A nice break between heavier reading, and interesting info on Arabian peninsula history and science
A fun thriller, but hyper improbable - almost a pastiche of a thriller.
The first book in the new fantasy series by thriller author James Rollins takes us on a rollercoaster adventure of a rag tag team trying to save themselves from dark powers and the whole world from destruction.
I really wish there was a rating for good writing but plot not for me. Gave it a two because I love Rollins book but sometimes a plot just doesn't catch me and then I spend the whole book thinking about the things which bother me. I can see a lot of Rollin's fans loving it but not for me.
