Focuses primarily on the written opinions of the relevant court cases, and offers little in the way of new sources unfamiliar to those already acquainted with the primary material. Still, his narrative is interesting, although it lacks a strong momentum. He makes no predictions of the future, nor does it really explain anything in the past. The text just foregrounds the manner in which opponents expressed themselves and thereby shaped the debate. But I'm not clear on what we're supposed to do with this information.… (més)
