Cecil Rose

This short book tells of the exploits of the author, who operated in the twenties and onwards as a stamp dealer. The book is quite interesting, although it has one or two odd inaccuracies. Some of the stories seem a little far-fetched and it is worth noting that soon after the book was published, Roses's stamp firm in Eton went bust; and he was subsequently sentenced to six years imprisonment for fraudulent trading.
