The author gives us the delightful character of spunky Granny and her cohorts, with names that will cause a chuckle and maybe a laugh out loud.
We get a mystery along with the drama that seems to follow Granny, along with some bodies. What is going on, well we walk in Grannies shoes, and although sometimes scary and along with a lot of exercise, we do get answers.
Surprises, yes, I thought I knew, but, wow! With Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt, you will never know what is around the next corner, and a good thing you don’t!

I received this book through Great Escapes Virtual Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

This is a hoot. Granny is at it again. This cozy mystery if full of twists, surprises, animals and weddings. I needed a laugh today. This is a clean read.

Granny is the main character. She is going to get married the day after Christmas to Franklin Gatsby.

She keeps secrets from everyone. She lies and goes her own way. She has dogs, cats & a goat. They roam between her house and Franklin's house.

There are lots of new characters in this third book. One is her new neighbor Silas. He is retired and has secrets of his own. Granny does not pull the wool over his eyes much. She is fighting with him and he with her.

A snow storm as snuck and Silas barges into Granny's basement to the secret door that is no longer secret to the underground street. It is open now with shops having doors open to it too. So Granny decides to go to town to. She comes back on a snowmobile with Silas on the back with her. and crashes in her yard and they find a dead body.

Franklin wants Granny to mind her own business and let her son the detective figure out what is going on.

I liked the story but did not like the ending. What did Granny see? I did not guess who the bad guys were and why they were doing all that they were doing?

I would like to visit Fuchsia, Minnesota in the summer time. It is a fun town with lots of crooks and crime and feisty seniors.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review and be part of Granny Snows A Sneak Blog Tour.

I love Granny! (Do you think she'll adopt me?)

Like most cozy heroines, Granny just seems to attract trouble. Maybe she lived a quieter, younger life, though, and now has to squeeze all that crazy into the years she has left. Last evening she foiled kidnappers and burglars, with the help of her menagerie. This morning, she goes (in nightgown) to check on her neighbor, whose grass has grown too high. (But with a name like Hermiony Vidalia Criony, you just know she was not going to have a quiet life anyway.)

She doesn't take guff from the local law boys either, telling them to their faces that she helps them keep their little town of Fuchsia, Minnesota, safe. And Granny is just one of the colorful characters in this most colorful of towns. I was laughing out loud just reading the names: Chief Stricknine, Mr. Bleaty (a goat), Mrs. Periwinkle and their brother and sister citizens and furry denizens. (If the board game "Clue" is looking to franchise, they should check into Fuchsia. Seriously. "So-and-so" in the garden with the (insert miscellaneous weapon). Priceless.)

I don't do spoilers. If you've been here before, you know that. In this case it would be a crime to tell you how everything turns out. Far be it from me to deny anyone the pleasure of reading how "Granny Skewers a Scoundrel".

(Disclosure: I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.)

Granny Skewers A Scoundrel by Julie Seedorf

4 STARS

Granny is a fun character. I love her feisty attitude. There are so many quirky characters in this book human and animals. There are lots of twists and turns I did not expect. Kept me guessing. Lots of humor, crimes, memory problems and junk food.

Granny works undercover for the business of Fuchsia, Minnesota. She finds shop lifters, even kidnapper in last book. Her kids are worrying about her living alone and want her to move in with her. So she tricks Franklin into coming over and tells her kids that they are getting married soon.

Franklin wants to keep Granny safe. She drives him crazy like his mother did. Franklin is a retired cop from New York. They share custody of their pets. Pets ideas. They keep bringing more pets home.

Granny's neighbor dies and she is not the only one. Someone also wants to stop Granny by poisoning her. Granny does not listen to everyone wanting her to leave the murder cases alone. They even tell her she can't work for the business in town till the murder is stopped.

Thor moves into town now to keep his eyes on his mom. He is falling for her new neighbor that Granny does not trust. The guys all think she is beautiful.

There are a lot of new neighbors moving into her town and making lots of changes. I really like the new neighbor named Angel and want to see more of her in the future.

I would love to read more books in this series. If granny can remember what is happening in Fuchsia.

I was given this ebook to read, but the opinions are all mine and I agreed to write a honest review and be part of its blog tour.

I did not want to put the book down till I had finished it. It is way over the top and makes it so fun a story.
