Cute and funny with shorter sentences that would be good for learning readers. I also liked the style of the illustrations.
Chez Bob is a trickster tale gone awry. Chez Bob is an alligator planning to trick birds into making a home inside his mouth. He works hard to make the perfect environment for the birds and just when he is planning to eat them, he finds it necessary to protect them from a storm. Chez Bob discovers through this that he has formed a connection with the birds and no longer wants to eat his new friends. The colorful and humorous illustrations in this book make it an enjoyable read. Readers will love predicting what Chez Bob could do to make the perfect restaurant for birds.
