Grigory Shudakov

This two hundred page volume is filled with photographs taken during World War II. The photo's are from both American and Soviet photo-journalists that accompanied the troops into combat. The work of these photojournalist, though titled, speak for themselves. The range of time covers the first air raid on London and follows through to the celebrations of victory and peace. The photos are not published chronologically but thematically and provide a pictorial survey of the war. You can see the different styles of the photojournalist wartime craft. They risked their lives too capture these historic moments.
