I like that this book because the pictures look very life like. They give good kid friendly descriptions with facts and is very engaging. This again is a great book as a starting point for lessons about the different animals that live in the ocean. This book could also be a great book for research for younger kids. It talks about different kinds of animals with the descriptions giving a good baseline if they were doing a small research paper at a young age. I like this book for any age group of students, an individual reading book for a fourth grade class or a read a loud for first or second. This is a good book for a first or second grade class to hear as a read a loud once and go over the different animals in it and then allow the students to explore it on their own. This could also be available for a fourth or fifth grade class in a classroom library. It provides good information for a science project on marine life. It also provides good examples of text features like table of contents, headings, subtitles, charts, glossary and an index.… (més)

Short, simple text supports the illustrations and answers children''s questions about what happens on the farm, and the animals which can be found there. Flaps to lift and flaps beneath flaps intrigue children as they explore the farm.'
