This is a lovely collection! Each contributor has written a letter to her younger self. I appreciated getting a glimpse of how these successful women got to where they are today, and what, if anything, they would do differently. It's heartening to see that successful women have had to work just as hard at it as anyone else.
What I Know About Success is a collection of bios and letters from some of the world's most famous women. From basketball coaches to fashion designers, makeup artists, and news anchors, this book can help you learn from some of the experiences that they had in their lives. There were some interesting stories and I learned things about these women that I did not know before. It was a very short read and part of me kind of wishes that the excerpts for each person went more in depth. This is also a good for anyone that may be in a career or looking for one and may need some advice on handling pressure and hardships.… (més)
My mom gave this to me for Christmas, and it contains a bunch of letters from famous women to their younger selves. Some were very enlightening, others not so much, but it was interesting to get a glimpse into a moment from their past as seen from the present.
This book made me sad. It reminded me of my teenage years too much. I only read about a quarter of the book before I had to put it down. This book was not for me.
