The book is a treasure hunt really meant for kids. It's got wonderful pictures and an interesting rhyme theme to it. The treasure hunt was very interesting but from my perspective the book could have a little more for the treasure hunter to do.

Now the story is paper thin, the puzzle well over, but the ambigrams are beautiful, I am a complete sucker for ambigrams and this one provides them in spades. The illustations are occasionally patchy, but then they're quite amusing. The story had unrealised potential.

Zac and Ana live in a house in a sentient oak, Yorah, with their pet Pook. Ana is half-elf and exposed the woodcutter Zac to magic which now he can't ignore. The little faeries like to play with him. He makes wooden boxes for sale and they have a happy life. Then the Dark Faerie set in play some evil magic that the two have to overcome before their wedding anniversary.

It's not a great story but the illustrations helped keep me reading, it's also really short so it wasn't a real hardship to read.

The story is a second Great Forest fairy tale by the author. Darkark faries must steal from good faires if they want to live forever. It also include clues to a diamond rings treasure hunt for readers.
