Massively cheesy, but I keep reading them anyway.
Honestly at this point I'm not sure why I'm still reading them. Maybe just because I was needing something silly and mindless?
This installment was a disappointment, and utterly forgettable. When book 10 came out and I started it, I was lost, thinking I had missed a book because I did not remember ANY of it. When I reread it, it was like the first time, and I was disappointed all over again.

But that doesn't change the fact that the plot construction couldn't be lazier.
There is not a single line of setup that has a later payoff. All facts and circumstances are revealed as they are needed which very much gives the impression the entire story is made up on the spot. No planning at all. All the dramatic turns the plot takes are incredibly contrived and unbelievable not only because everything is made up on the spot but also because a lot of the stuff just doesn't make a lick of sense regardless.
The same is true for logical reasoning in general. Aristotle would turn in his grave if he knew this book existed.
If you are a true master at suspending disbelief this will probably be a blast for you.
You might also enjoy this if you are just here for the slow/medium burn romance and don't care a lot about the rest. The romance while being clichée is cute and sweet.… (més)
