Sheryl Swoopes

This book was not my favorite. I think the way the text flowed was awkward and the material made basketball seem boring. I usually love anything containing basketball or Sheryll Swoopes, but this I did not. The text and pictures made the book seem ameteur-ish.

This is a great book to get young readers and writers thinking about writing their own nonfiction pieces. It can be used as a text-based discussion that leads students to write using descriptor words and varying the size, shape and color of their text to achieve their goals.
