Normally I enjoy these books for what they are, but this author obviously writes one story and then uses it for both the m/m and m/f market via pronoun changes and a rewrite of the sex scene. I only get these when they are free on Amazon, so I don't feel cheated that this has been done. (If I'd paid money for the book and discovered the same I would be seriously pissed. It also means I would never consider paying for a book by this author.)
By 20% he had referred to himself as a girl four times, I thought at first that the author intended to go down the transgender route, but at one point they said that the father 'really wanted a straight son' and there was no mention of treatment or surgery. I flicked through, found several more mentions of being a girl (bikini bottoms, referring to himself as a daughter), no mention of being a girl wanting to be a guy, decided giving the author the benefit of the doubt had been misplaced.
Authors, if you're going to make the 'most' of your PWP (which this is normally a better class of because there is always a decent storyline before it descends into PWP territory) by publishing it as both m/f and m/m you need to do more than changing your 'she' for 'he' and 'her' for 'his'. Girl/boy, daughter/son would all be good changes to make.

This wasn't bad, but would have benefited from being a little longer. I know it was meant to be short, but it was just a little too short. It all happened too fast. I don't see how someone could commit to be the mate of two shifters in just a few hours time, not matter the supernatural pull toward each other.
But the idea was good and I enjoyed the characters. It was hot. I would have just liked more.
