In theory, I admire what th Pre-Raphaelites were trying to do (go back to 5th century styles of painting) but in practice I sekdom fin it satisafying. Looking through this I was struck by the great sameness of a lot of Rossetti's work, partly due to his using the same models over and over. This is a capable account of a rather disappinting artist.

Being an introduction to the biography, drawing, and painting of the Pre-Raphaelite icon. This is a decent introduction within the limitations of a 100-page book published in a small format which does not lend itself to detailed viewing of the major paintings.
