Rhea Tregebov was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1953. She received a BA in English at the University of Manitoba and a MA in English from Boston University. She worked for years as a freelance technical writer and is currently an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the mostra'n més University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, where she teaches poetry, children's literature and literary translation. She is the author of several collections of poetry including No One We Know, The Proving Grounds, and The Strength of Materials. Remembering History won the Pat Lowther Award and Poems from Mapping the Chaos received the Prairie Schooner Readers' Choice Award and the Malahat Review Long Poem Award. She is also the author of several children's picture books including The Extraordinary Ordinary Everything Room, The Big Storm, Sasha and the Wiggly Tooth, Sasha and the Wind, and What-If Sara. - Rhea Tregebov was born in Saskatoon and raised in Winnipeg. She studied at the University of Manitoba, Cornell University, and Boston University, where she earned an M.A. in English and American literature. She taught creative writing for many years in the Continuing Education program at Ryerson University in Toronto. She also worked as a freelance editor of adult and young adult fiction as well as poetry. From 2002 to 2004, she was coordinating editor for Sumach Press in Toronto. In 2005, she joined the faculty of the University of British Columbia.
