Wayne M. Weaver

Grounded in the reality of hard work, Weaver grew up in the Amish culture. The first three chapters summarized his childhood and exposure to different way of life. Yet as his story unfolds, there is little for the reader looking for a detailed inside look at the Amish life. Weaver leaves the farm and tries many occupations before going to school to become a doctor. He went on to spend time practicing in Liberia before finally settling down in Ohio. Overall, the book is a well-written collection of memories.… (més)
