Biografia breu
A member of the churches of Christ. He sang tenor for the original Stamps Quartet from 1928 to 1930 prior to the group becoming JD Sumner And The Stamps Quartet, a Dallas based group that first recorded "Give the World a smile" for Victor Records. He performed with the Vaughan Quartet in the mid-1930's and in the late 1930's taught music at Freed-Hardeman college in Henderson Tenn.

His father decided to devote his life to leading singing in evangelistic efforts. Palmer led singing for preachers such as N. B. Hardeman, Foy E. Wallace, Jr., E. R. Harper, and G. C. Brewer.

Palmer preformed with singing groups and at pastoral meeting for more than 50 years. He had lived in Dallas since 1955 when he became the coordinator for the "Way of Truth" television program sponsored bye the Skillman Avenue Church of Christ. He performed and taught singing at various churches and was the song director at Cliffwood Church of Christ.
