I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my review.
Please, watch out for possible spoilers, including but not limited to, TW/CN/Etc.

I've read every story in this anthology, and as a whole this is a 5 / 5 star read. I highly suggest giving it a read if you have kindle unlimited, or purchasing it! This is a charity anthology for Jobs with Justice.

“Fuck.” He whispers it like a prayer as he sinks to his knees between my legs. “Do you know how fucking gorgeous you are, Georgia?”
-Grey and Georgia

I'm loving everything that Ivy puts outs, and this story in the anthology is no different.

If you enjoy
Best Friends
Contemporary
Single Parent

Then you should definitely check out this short story. It is sweet. It is spicy. It makes your heart melt. I want MORE Ivy.

Good, pretty girl. I love you until the moon stops shining.
-Beckett

If you enjoy
Boss/Employee
A little found family
A second start
Strong FMC working in a male dominated field
Protective MMC
She falls first
Then you should check this out!

I love Beckett so much. He is grumpy, moody, and hates everybody. Kinda reminds me of Grumpy Bear, and you just wanna snuggle him, then give him a cold beer.

Madilyn was such a strong character, and you could really feel how it felt to work in a male dominated field as a woman, even with it being a short story.

They way that Beckett and Madilyn spark with each other, and butheads, you just know they are meant for each other. The spicy was lovely. The way that Beckett wanted to protect Madilyn, yet wanted to keep her at a distance, made my little heart pitter patter.

Definitely give this a read!

And what has you convinced that I’m just suddenly going to come up to you, just begging for you to fuck me. Beg you for that huge c...
-Della

If you enjoy
Second chance romance
LGBTQAI+ rep
Workplace romance
Hookup possibly turns into more
Safer sex practices
Then you should definitely check this one out.

I found Della to be so relatable, and I liked her so very much. I would read more about this character.

I found Nico to be so adorable, and so relatable with what we got about him. I would read more about this character.

I really enjoy hookups/one night stands, turning into something else, so if you enjoy that kind of thing… I say give this short story a go. I am definitely going to be checking out more of M Leigh Morhaime work.

My back stiffens as my accomplice snakes his arm around my waist, pulling me into his side. “I’m afraid that’s my doing. I’ve been keeping her pretty busy lately.”
-Birdie and Roman

If you enjoy
Boss/Employee
Fake dating/hookup
FMC in a male dominated field
Hookup possibly turns into more
Then you should check out this short story.

I totally related to Birdie in SOOOOOO many ways. I loved her, almost shyness, but that word doesn’t quite fit what I am trying to say. I totally understood how she felt when she first meets Roman, and i wish when that interaction woulda happened to me, a sexy sunshine guy was there to help save me.

Roman is so adorable, with how he just jumps right in with the fake dating, and being possessive of Birdie. Even though he fully doesn’t understand what is going on. I am down bad for a guy who will step in when bad exs try to pull things. I just loved him. He seemed so sunshiney in a way. I really hope that we get more about these two,

I love seeing stories about women in male dominated fields, and this story has a bit of that. We also get some lovely. And a MMC that just will not let FMC go. He wants to see how they burn together, and I am 100% here for it.

I highly recommend this story. And that you check out A.D. McCammon's other works. Everything I have read by them is 5 stars.

Bad Apple by Victoria Ellis & Dee Lagasse

This short story is a sweet, quick read with a hint of spice. I instantly fell in love with Lucy. The way that she was not afraid of Sam's reputation and right away wanted to welcome him is so endearing. She is someone that I would want to be friends with.

When Sam smiled, he warmed my heart, but it was when he put a comforting hand on Lucy's leg to help calm her anxiety that really won me over. These two shared a few spicy moments together. Yep, they did it in the janitor's closet.… (més)

Quite an odd book, this one, and I'm wavering between 3 and 4 stars. Basic premise is that life as we know it is long over and we follow Tom, who lives in a drug-reliant city working for the company as he gets out of the city, off the drugs, and discovers what is left of the 'real' world out there. It was written in a very deliberate tone of voice and this gave it an interesting feel, a very thoughtful book, but overall was quite depressing in the way it showed how many people believe their way is the only way to fix the world, and everyone else is the monster. There's a small cast of fairly interesting characters but nobody really reveals themselves fully, so it's quite difficult to warm to anybody. Overall I enjoyed a lot of the ideas, the assorted ways of showing the opiates for the masses and the thought of the time-rewind, but I sometimes felt a little lost. As did our 'hero' of the story, so I guess that's perfectly fine. I liked the book, it made me think, but I don't know anyone I'd actively recommend it to over other books of a similar nature. I personally am glad I've read it, though.

I received this title from Netgalley in return for a review, and my thanks for the opportunity to read it.
